a few weeks ago when i was driving to work and stared back into the rearview mirror, i suddenly missed budapest. the sky was a radiant orange, and red, and yellow, swirled all together with splashes of purple, reminding me at once of that one june morning when alarms went off at 3:30 am so we could be in the taxi by 4:30 and at the airport by 5:00 to catch our plane to london. and how we rushed out after checking in to take a picture of the morning sky that was so utterly beautiful.
i miss europe. i really do. i miss the person i became there, i miss the experiences, i miss the company. but i smile. because of what was. and what it'll always be in my heart.
